Workshops & creative sessions

I've spent ten years as a hypnotherapist watching creative people talk themselves out of their own talent. The inner critic, the "I'm not a real artist" story, the feeling that everyone else knows something you don't - I've heard it hundreds of times. I've felt it myself.

These workshops exist because I know creativity and mindset can't really be separated. And I've learned some gentle, practical tools along the way that genuinely help.

In these small-group workshops we’ll explore:

  • Practical mindset tools for easing self-doubt
  • Gentle, creativity-friendly ways to work with your inner world
  • Space to reflect, share experiences and feel understood

Upcoming workshops for creatives

These are the first workshops I’ll be offering through Mark Wilson Studio. Dates are being finalised – for now, you can register your interest and be the first to hear when they go live.

Impostor Syndrome for Creatives

Gently untangle self-doubt so you can show up for your art.

In this workshop we’ll explore:

  • What impostor syndrome looks like for artists and makers
  • Why “I’m not a real artist” isn’t the truth your brain thinks it is
  • Simple mindset tools you can use before, during and after creating
  • A kinder inner voice that supports your creative practice

Inner Child for Creatives

Reconnect with the playful part of you that loves making a mess.

In this workshop we’ll explore:

  • Why play and curiosity are so powerful for your art
  • Gentle ways to meet the “younger you” who still loves making things
  • Simple creative prompts to quiet perfectionism and overthinking
  • Ways to bring more lightness into your studio time

Questions about the workshops

A few practical questions you may have before joining.

Not at all. These workshops are for anyone who makes things, or wants to, but keeps getting in their own way. If you’ve ever thought, “I’m not creative enough” or “I’m not a real artist,” you’re exactly who I had in mind.

Small groups - deliberately. I keep numbers low so there’s space for real conversation, reflection, and genuine support, rather than a passive webinar where you simply sit and watch.

Sessions run live on Zoom. You’ll receive the link and joining details once dates are confirmed.

No. These sessions are about your creative mindset rather than art technique, so you do not need any materials. Just bring yourself and a willingness to explore.

You’ll receive a short email from me confirming I’ve received your details. When dates go live in May 2026, you’ll be first to hear, before the workshops open publicly, and you’ll receive early-bird pricing.

None at all. Registering simply means you’d like to know more. No payment, no commitment, and no pressure.

How the workshops work

I know joining a workshop – especially online – can feel like a big step. My aim is to make things calm, clear and pressure-free.

Here’s what to expect:

  1. Live, friendly sessions. Workshops are held live on Zoom in small groups, with plenty of time for questions.
  2. Gentle, practical tools. I’ll guide you through simple mindset exercises and creative prompts you can reuse in your own time.
  3. Ongoing support. After the workshop you’ll get a short recap email and suggestions for how to keep the momentum going.
You don’t need to be “good at art” or have everything figured out – just a curiosity about your creativity and a willingness to explore.
